Sochil Selects is a curatorial platform. We watch hundreds of films and cultural pieces each cycle and reach out only when a work is exceptional and matches our curatorial voice.
Every selection is presented with the care the work deserves — full resolution, without compression-driven degradation, wrapped in an envelope that treats the piece as a piece, not as content.
Submission is invite-only and entirely non-exclusive. You keep every right. We just give your work a home.
How it works
Carefully reviewed
A small team of film curators searches across platforms for works that deserved better than they got. Every piece is viewed and carefully deliberated before an invitation is granted.
Presented with intent
Original visual quality preserved. Your film holds the screen by itself, one piece at a time, and opens to fullscreen in a single gesture.
Non-exclusive
You retain full ownership and remain free to license your work anywhere else. Sochil never asks for exclusivity.
What we look for
Selection is deliberate. We watch a great deal and reach out rarely, and a piece earns its place on craft alone. These are the things we weigh.
- Professional presentation
- A finished piece — considered framing, a deliberate edit, and no rough cuts standing in for a final.
- Creative conviction
- A point of view rather than a format. We would rather see one uncompromised idea than a well-executed trend.
- Colour
- Graded with intent. Consistent across the cut, and holding up on a calibrated screen.
- Audio fidelity
- Mixed and mastered. Clean dialogue, controlled levels, and sound designed as part of the work rather than laid over it.
- Command of runtime
- The piece earns its length. Nothing is padded, and nothing essential has been cut for the sake of brevity.
Audience it reaches
We are projecting an audience in the thousands over the next year — viewers who know not to measure a short and a feature with the same stick. And Selects travels farther than we do: the audience is nationwide, not limited to the cities in which Sochil operates.
A second run
Age is not a disqualifier. A film finished years ago is new to almost everyone who will see it here — and work that has gone quiet since its festival run finds viewers who never had the chance.
Your work, protected
Uploads travel over TLS and are stored encrypted at rest with AES-256 in versioned storage, so nothing is lost or altered on the way. Submission is non-exclusive, you retain every right, and you can withdraw your work at any time — before or after it runs.
