What happens to my work?
- Your work is stored securely and prepared for presentation — shown as a screening, holding the screen by itself.

Where will it be shown?
- Nationally, but especially in the cities where our core product is located: Washington, DC, New York City, Miami, and San Juan.

What format should I send?
- The export you send festivals — an mp4 or mov at original resolution is ideal, and most other formats are accepted too. We conform it on our side, so nothing is re-compressed that doesn’t need to be.

Is my film too long?
- Almost certainly not. There is no runtime limit — the limit is file size, 4 GB, which comfortably carries a twenty-minute film at a bitrate worth presenting.

Do I keep the rights?
- Yes. All submissions are non-exclusive. You retain full ownership and control of your work.

How long until it’s published?
- Your exhibition window is scheduled within 60 days of your work arriving.

Who reviews my work?
- A small team of film curators watched your film before the invitation reached you.

Can I withdraw my submission?
- Yes — at any time. If your work is already live, it’s generally removed from rotation within 48 hours.

My film isn’t recent. Does that matter?
- The recency of your work has no bearing on it. A great work is a great work.

Is there any compensation?
- No. Sochil Selects is curatorial — we give your work a dedicated spotlight, in front of a receptive audience.

What happens if there’s a technical issue?
- If your submission encounters any issues, we’ll reach out to you directly and, if needed, issue a new invitation link for resubmission.
